Lizzy Esqueda started Mijita Wine Company in 2021 and produces 200-300 cases annually at a co-op winery in Portland, Oregon, with about twelve other small producers.
Mijita focuses on making wines from sustainable + organic vineyards in the Pacific Northwest and believes most winemaking happens in the vineyard.
These wines are made with a light touch and aged in neutral barrels to show the bright, deep fruit characteristics, thanks to the wonderfully talented vineyard stewards who have worked incredibly hard all year round.
